About this event

Communication skills are not something that we are explicitly taught in school, but they can make the difference between a lacklustre performance, or a more rewarding and enjoyable life and career.

Pitching and talking about your research, and adapting it your audience in terms of length, context and language is one of the most useful skills for job interviews, conferences and connecting with other people.

Building and maintaining a network through meeting people in your field, isn’t just about attending events. It’s about how to be memorable, make friends and positively influence others.

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Become a stronger listener
  • Appear professional to colleagues, peers and senior leaders
  • Develop leadership qualities
  • Understand how to connect with others
